Sustainable woven palmleaf handbag
This little handwoven handbag is perfect for the summer season. Just big enough for the essentials, it is stylish and stands out from the crowd.
These hand-crafted baskets are made by Tourag men from the village of Kerbubu, 25km west of Agadez (960km from Niamey) in Niger. The raw material comes from the Tagai tree (its name in the language Tamashek), a large tree found in the Aïr oasis.
The baskets are all made using the looping technique.
